This Was Me...
This was me at my largest. My daughter had just been born and I knew that I needed to do something. I could barely bend down to pick her up. How was I going to keep up with her? When she starts walking, how was I going to hold her hand to show her the world? When she started running, was I just going to watch from the sideline?
So, I started lifting poorly
I got Better!
I'm Getting Much Stronger!
I KNOW HOW SCARY A BARBELL CAN BE!
I remember when I first picked up a barbell and had no idea what to do with it. We are a gym that prides ourselves on camaraderie and acceptance. Everyone started out for the first time at some point. I promise to make you comfortable, while still pushing you to do your very best! I’ll never push you beyond your limits but pretty soon you’re going to find just how far your limits actually are!
It isn’t a race. This type of progress was done over years. Don’t try to walk the path alone. If not me, then find an experienced friend or a mentor who’s willing to help. Medicine Through Movement means finding the movement that makes you feel better; finding the movement that fits your life and enhances it.
So you don’t have to believe in yourself when you walk through my door. I already believe in you. I’ve been where you are and we all have so far to go.
